Our Programs

Age-Appropriate Learning & Fun for Every Child

At Small Wonders, children are encouraged to wonder at the world around them, to use their creativity and curiosity to learn and explore. At our two locations in Plymouth, IN, we have several programs designed for different age groups, so children are working with developmentally appropriate curriculum that helps them grow and reach important milestones. Our compassionate, qualified teachers provide children with the one-on-one attention they need to succeed at their own pace.

Infants & Toddlers

Our Infant and toddler program is designed for children ages 6 weeks to 24 months. Our teachers provide an age-appropriate curriculum that encourages each child’s development and milestone achievement. Each year our team engages in conferences in which we discuss development and track milestones. Our infants and toddlers have their own playground separate from other children in which they can safely explore their world.

Early Preschool

Our early preschool program is for children from 24 months to 3 and a half years old. This program consists of its own curriculum, designed to be developmentally appropriate. Children are introduced to colors, shapes, counting, fine motor control, gross motor control, and language development, through expressive activities such as writing, drawing, and verbalizing. Our team holds yearly conferences to track each child’s development and address any concerns. We work closely with parents and guardians to set individualized goals for children to reach as they learn new skills. Early preschoolers have their own playground in which they can safely learn and explore.

Pre-K

The pre-K program is for children from 3 and a half to 5 years old. This curriculum helps prepare children for kindergarten. Our pre-K classroom is tracked through ISTAR-KR, which will transfer information about each child’s achievement on preschool assessments to their future school programs for usage by kindergarten teachers. We hold pre-K conferences at least twice a year to discuss development and make sure each child is on the right path to kindergarten readiness. Pre-K students have their own playground in which they can explore and learn in an age-appropriate manner. Our pre-K program at both locations is recognized as state On My Way Pre-K program.

After-School Care

Small Wonders provides after-school care for students from age 5 to 13. Children are provided with opportunities to socialize with their peers, to enjoy a wholesome after-school snack, and to receive homework help from our teachers to help them succeed.

Nursing Home

As part of our effort to encourage children to get involved in their community, one of our frequent field trips is to the nursing home. Children participate in games, crafts, and storytime with the residents!
